Cookie & Browser Storage Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Scope
This policy explains cookies and similar browser storage used by StarCrypt, operated by Starlight Solutions, Inc. Cookies and local storage can support login, security, payment and requested preferences.
Account storage
The starcrypt_session_token entry in local storage keeps you signed in. Its server session expires after 30 days and can be revoked sooner. Local storage remains until removed by sign-out or browser controls. Treat a browser with an active session as access to your account. The vault key is held only in tab memory and is cleared on reload or sign-out.
Security and payments
Cloudflare Turnstile may access browser and network information to distinguish legitimate login attempts from abuse. Stripe may use cookies and similar technologies when payment features are loaded for fraud prevention and transaction processing. Their own notices explain their retention and processing. Signup verification uses short-lived server records rather than a tracking cookie.
Optional technologies
We do not enable advertising trackers. Hosting providers collect network-level traffic, security and performance measurements. Cloudflare Web Analytics, where active, measures page performance without analytics cookies or local storage. If we introduce non-essential storage or tracking that requires consent, it will remain off until you choose it, with a way to change that choice.
Your controls
You can clear cookies and site storage in your browser and sign out in Account. This may end sessions or reset preferences. Clearing storage does not cancel a subscription or delete saved projects. Browser privacy settings may prevent payment or verification features from working. For questions or a privacy request, contact [email protected].
