Starlight Nova 2.0

  • The former Maximum protection baseline is now the default model, including two Lua VM passes. Older profile options cannot lower API builds below this baseline.
  • Module mode validates a returned export and includes usage instructions with the generated result.
  • Lua runtime handling preserves nil-containing argument lists, multiple return values and generic iterator results.
  • TypeScript compiles to protected JavaScript. Java, PHP, Ruby, C, Dart, Objective-C and Ada join the language list with syntax-aware source protection.
  • C++, Python, C#, Go, Rust and Kotlin gain parser checks before and after transformation.
  • Required layer failures stop the build and release reserved credits. Engine processing stays on StarCrypt infrastructure.

SupaCrypt 1.0

The first SupaCrypt model adds a third virtualization pass for supported Lua and Luau. It retains Nova's module workflow, integrity checks and per-build variation. Available with Premium or Diamond and above.

Expect larger output and substantially higher runtime cost. SupaCrypt is an optional model for workloads that can tolerate that cost, not a performance upgrade.

Migration notes

Use options.model: "nova" or "supacrypt". The API returns stats.modelVersion and stats.modelName when metadata is requested. Existing API IDs remain valid. Older High and Maximum selections map to Nova. Keep original source and test new output before replacing a deployed build.

Language boundaries

Lua targets 5.1 and a supported Luau subset. TypeScript output is JavaScript. Native language protection is source-level, not bytecode virtualization. Parser validation does not prove runtime equivalence, and project-specific macros, reflection and dependencies still need your own tests.
